Rachel Bedenbaugh

Director of Operations

Rachel is the Director of Operations at GIVAX. Rachel brings over 15 years of operations & project management experience both within US & internationally based healthcare systems. As the Director of Operations, Rachel leads the planning, execution and delivery of operations-based projects, optimizing workflows and processes to support GIVAX vaccine development. She also supports the R&D team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget & aligned with GIVAX’s strategic goals. Prior to joining GIVAX, Rachel served as a Senior Program Manager at Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Disaster Medicine from 2018 to 2021. During her time at MGH, Rachel spearheaded the development of one of the first Regional Disaster Health Response Systems, enhancing disaster preparedness and response by facilitating cross-state collaboration and pooling of critical healthcare resources to support patient care and system recovery. Early in her public health career, Rachel spent eight years in Haiti, leading hospital and community health programs aimed at improving access to life-saving healthcare services in rural areas. Rachel holds a BS in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University, and a Master of Public Health from Boston University.
